Here are a few shortcuts that you can use. For more information or a complete list, see the Microsoft Access user guide.
F1 Context sensitive help.
SHIFT+F2 To open the Zoom Box to conveniently enter text in small input areas.
CTRL+APOSTROPHE(’) Default the value to that of the value in the previous record for that field.
CTRL+SEMICOLON(;) Insert today’s date.
CTRL+COLON(:) Insert time now.
F4 To open a combo box.
ALT+DOWN ARROW To open a combo box.
CTRL+C To copy the selected control to the Clipboard.
CTRL+X To cut the selected control and copy it to the Clipboard.
CTRL+V To paste the contents of the Clipboard in the upper-left corner of the selected section.
SHIFT+F10 To display the shortcut menu.
F7 To check spelling.
SHIFT+ENTER To save changes to the current record.
SPACEBAR To switch between the values in a check box or option button.
CTRL+PLUS SIGN (+) To add a new record.
CTRL+MINUS SIGN (-) To delete the current record.
CTRL+Z To undo typing.
ALT+BACKSPACE To undo typing.
ESC To undo changes in the current field or current record; if both have been changed, press ESC twice to undo changes, first in the current field and then in the current record.
